Inaugural Gathering of the University of Glasgow Azerbaijan Alumni Association

In November 2023, the inaugural gathering of the University of Glasgow Azerbaijan Alumni Association took place. However, the journey began months earlier, in September.

My decision to organize this event stemmed from a desire to establish a strong network and explore new opportunities. As part of my research, I discovered that the University of Glasgow already had 49 alumni associations around the globe. Inspired by this, I decided to build something from scratch for Azerbaijan. What followed was a three-month process of connecting with alumni, securing approvals from the University, and working tirelessly to make this vision a reality.

The result of these efforts was the successful alumni gathering, which marked Azerbaijan's inclusion in the University’s global alumni network. Our inaugural meeting was more than just an event; it was an incredible opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, share inspiring ideas, and lay the foundation for future collaborations.

The experience was truly memorable, filled with meaningful conversations and the forging of new friendships. As we look ahead, I am filled with excitement for our journey and eagerly anticipate the growth of our alumni community. Our upcoming events promise to bring even more opportunities to strengthen this vibrant network.
