On July 19th, a meeting took place at the Italian Embassy in Azerbaijan between the leadership of the Italian Trade Agency and members of the Board of the Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industrialists Association (AQISA). The discussion centered on exploring trade opportunities in the food and beverage sector between the two nations.

During the meeting, key topics such as mutual trade, partnerships, and industry-focused collaboration were addressed. Both sides highlighted several priority areas, including the development of trade and knowledge-sharing ties. Discussions also touched upon establishing industrial partnerships with various Italian organizations and conducting exchanges of expertise and best practices.

In addition, opportunities for collaboration across several sectors, such as HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés), imports, exports, retail, and manufacturing, were explored.

The AQISA members also deliberated on an upcoming business gastronomy trip to Italy. The trip aims to provide an opportunity to experience Italian products firsthand, visit processing facilities, and engage with local entrepreneurs, fostering deeper understanding and collaboration.

Both parties agreed to organize joint events to enhance trade and strengthen relationships between Italy and Azerbaijan in the food and beverage industry.

As part of the discussions, we extended an invitation to the Italian Ambassador and his team to attend the 2024 Aeropress Azerbaijan Championship, an event where AQISA serves as an official partner.

We were deeply grateful to the Italian Embassy and the Italian Trade Agency for their warm hospitality and fruitful discussions, paving the way for promising future collaborations between our two nations.
